Russia continues as if everything is normal, one hand reaching down to stroke America’s leaking cock while the other keeps it’s death grip on his neck. This is so desolate and eerily plausible and...hollow, the way Alfred's completely gone over to the shallow, shortsighted worst in him and forgotten the best, and also it's hot

and the alt-history weaved in is perfect, not too much exposition or too vague, and it make such perfect, terrible sense and this line:

Suddenly, America is afraid of this man in China’s clothes who isn’t scared of Ivan anymore.

Oh god, that's terrifying, because the things China could do if it ever got it's business together is...practically unlimited, a billion+ people and heavily organized society and the bomb and

I love muddled, dark/crazy/forgetful America!

This is so expertly handled... even the sex was just an extended metaphor for what their relationship had become, and that was just devastatingly amazing. And the transfer of sanity... Russia having his wits about him while America's self-delusion has turned into true insanity.... D:
