Russia/Belarus - food. Though I like Ivan's child-like cruelty and creepiness, I'd love to see more of his child-like side than of his creepy side. *image of him screaming Vodka and jumping from plane comes to mind* If I'm being too specific, just some Russia/Belarus would make me happy, thank you. ♥

Honey for breakfast

She stands next to the table, hands folded on the white apron tied around her waist, shoulders straight and tense as she waits for Ivan's opinion. She's not nervous, much less anxious, but there's just a bit of expectation that she’s determined to ignore and distracts herself by fixing the already perfect ribbon around her long, silver hair.

It was a casual request from Ivan, just a simple mention that it had been a long time since the last time he had eaten Syrniki. At first she just listened and, after digging through her recent memories, agreed with a nod, but that didn't satisfy him. He looked at her and showed her the smile that meant he really wanted that. There was no point in pretending she hadn't understood him correctly.

With his arms on the table, at each side of the dish, Ivan looks pleased. He inhales, savors the different smells that reach his nose, and grins openly, showing his dimples. Natalia isn't a particularly good cook, but this breakfast is for him and no one else, and that makes it all the more delicious

Lovely - the characterization (of a vaguely kind and gentle Russia, even!) is spot-on.

But goddamn, now I want some syrniki. *Grumbles*

I love this, not just because Ivan and Natalia are so awesome together, but because now I know how delicious syrniki is. It inspired me to go find a recipe and cook it! I guess this is one of the added benefits of being a hetalia fan.
