Ivan hated that he had to punish them, that Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia (and at times, Hungary and Poland) just didn’t seem to understand that he was only doing what was best for them, but all the same he understood he would be remiss if he did not redirect them to the proper path

They had all lost count of how many times the whip had cracked over Lithuania’s back, but the thin trails of blood tricking down the marked flesh and disappearing into the fabric of his pants and the tears pouring down his cheeks amidst uncontrollable sobs testified that it had been for quite some time. Lowering his arm Ivan dropped his whip to the ground, his breathing heavy and labored from arousal. After a moment’s pause, Ivan walked around to face Lithuania, raising a blood-stained hand to the wet cheek of his oldest charge
