Arthur has just set the pot of water on the stove to boile when the phone rings. For a moment he is tempted not to answer it. After all, it is Sunday and tea-time, and since no sensible person would call during tea-time, the person on the other end is obviously completely non-sensible. It is probably Alfred. He turns back to his teapot.

The phone rings again.

What if it's important?

On the third ring Arthur sighs and goes to fetch the phone. "Yes, hello? Who is it?"

"So I'm naked."

It is Alfred. And it's going to be one of those conversations. Arthur closes his eyes and takes a deep breath in a silent prayer for patience.

"Good for you. I'm very proud. Have you learned to dress yourself again yet?"

Alfred laughs. "What're you wearing?"

"You had better not be drunk. Isn't it still morning over there?"

"I bet you're wearing a tie. And a shirt with a collar and sensible trousers." He says 'sensible trousers' in accent that is both obviously mocking and gratingly off. "And a sweatervest

Oh curse the inability to edit anon comments. "Ah- hawhat" is supposed to read:

"Ah- ha-!" Alfred's laughter is breathless now. "Say that again."
