US/UK, H/C, Prop 8 Discrimination/Abuse

So I'm guessing that a lot of people who live in America, probably/possibly people in other countries, have heard of Prop 8 being upheld. So I'm actually fairly depressed because of the lack of a backbone in the Supreme Court and the ignorance of my people; I may not have a partner, but the person I love dearly is the same gender as me.Getting back on topic, I really want to see the scenario where US is being hurt by other countries (pick whichever you want, as long as it is harsh harassment) about loving England. England can't do much for the US, US tells him he has to fight his own battles. England is forced to just watch his lover getting hurt emotionally and physically. US finds himself crying a lot more often. He's less strong-willed and the relationship is being hurt because of the stress from the abuse. The actual story can end any way the writer!anon choses. I'm already really upset, so maybe a happy ending would be good? Kink is H/C and perseverance for the relationship to work against all odds. Hope that qualifies enough as

Not the previous person. This is just what this anon came up with. I have more in the works, but I just wanted to see if where this is going would please the OP, sorry the beginning's a tad short.Alfred turned the T.V. off. He didn’t want to believe it. He didn’t want to believe that all those protests may have been for nothing, that maybe he really wasn’t the land of the free. It had been going on so long that he was almost sick of hearing about it, but did the majority of his people really feel that way

I love the angst, angst, angst. xP And I feel really bad for Alfred right now. D: My own father voted yes on 8 and I was just...just...livid. T_T Alfred's right. When that...that...THING was upheld, America stopped being a free country. Anyways, looking forward to more! ^_^

Oh man ;___;<3 I love this, prop 8 being upheld pissed me off(not that it matters to me much, I'm straight), but I don't see what's so wrong with people loving who that naturally love. Stupid people too scared to admit it.

I like it ;^; I can't wait for the next one.
I'm upset about it too even though i expected that. I mean, Religion has no place in American politics. There's a fight going on in my state about legalizing Gay Marriage. My Mayor is very supportive of it even though he's a independent/republican(odd right? not as odd as Cheney supporting it too.), he helped with the march in Albany, NY with a few of celebrities and Maya Angelou. I hope that my state legalize it, it would be symbolic since the modern gay rights movement really kicked off in my state and in my city(The Stonewall riots).

Anon would like to thank the lovely person who helped edit this. Also, anon thinks there won't be too many parts left. :)America didn’t look anyone in the eyes. He kept all of his ideas to himself, that way there was less to be shot down about, because even though it was his own problem, he knew that he would get shit about it from around the globe
