Arthur was tucked up under a thick blanket on his sofa when there came a familiar knock at the door, a decisive Bang, bang, bang! that could mean only one person was trying to disturb him.
Stumbling, he made his way to the door and tore it open, angrily.
“What do you want?” he snapped before America could say anything.
“Well, what sort of greeting is that!” Alfred laughed.
“The sort of greeting a git like you deserves,” Arthur snarled through his sore throat.
Alfred looked at his shoes, and Arthur suddenly felt guilty for berating him. The man had crossed the pond just to see him.
“Come on in,” he grumbled, standing aside and Alfred bounded in, heading to the living room.
“So why are you here?” England asked, sitting down beside him.
“Just to see if you’re any better from the burgers I sent!” America grinned.
Arthur rolled his eyes.
