A friend who knows about my thing for curls linked me to a hair care forum where there was a discussion about using KY as a hair product specifically for curly hair. I couldn't bring myself to go quite that far, but I couldn't resist this.

The language, I love it, I love it. So delightfully dirty. And the playing off each other's meanings, and the final paragraph just blew my fucking mind, and please stop me now before I say any more of this rambling run-on sentence.

Author!anon can't stop grinning now. I think I might be happiest of all about your comments concerning language, because I've recently had discussions with other writers who said essentially that they're not concerned with language beyond the fact of using words. That made me sad, because I think language itself is so beautiful, even when flawed and failing, that I can't imagine not treasuring it.
Um. Anyhow! Yes, thank you so much. And as for curls...on behalf of curl-lovers everywhere, I'd like to encourage your hair-twirling habits. ;)

Fundamentally flawed it may be, but language is beautiful in its imperfection. Especially the English language - it's so rich with a thousand different ways to state the same point. We've had enough discussions in my philosophy class for me to realize that quite well.
I don't need encouragement. It's a constant habit! Must drive the curl-haters mad and the curl-lovers like you mad in a different way.

Oh no, definitely no shame! We just took different approaches. That's one of the things I enjoy about multiple fills: seeing what different writernons do with the same prompt. :)
