You can't rape the willing

Anon is in a rather foul mood, so, I'd like to see France getting brutally raped. And the other countries make light of this, because 'c'mon, it's France', 'he's always asking for it anyway', 'you can't rape the willing', 'oh, he was a slut anyway', 'it was only a matter of time', 'I bet he enjoyed it' etc.
And then I want to see him break down with at least one other country as witness. How it all ends is up to anon to decide; just make me cry, either from angst or from sheer heartwarming or, if you can somehow manage it, from laughing too hard. Anything.

It takes Francis a moment to realize his fingers are shaking against Arthur’s lips. Arthur’s eyes blink open; he takes that hand and kisses those fingertips, his lips feather-light and chaste.
“I’m sorry,” he murmurs. “I…I just….”
Arthur reaches forward, pauses, and then pulls back; he seems uncertain, scared that he’ll frighten Francis. Francis sighs and presses himself into Arthur’s body, fingers curling into the other’s shirt.
“Imbécile,” he murmurs, hiding a fond smile in Arthur’s neck. “I am safe with you. I trust you.”
Silence. He feels Arthur swallow. “It’s…it’s funny that you’d say that to someone who wants to wring your neck on a daily basis, you frog.” But Arthur’s arms hold him warm and firm against his body.
“And you are a crabby old man who is terrible in l'art de l'amour,” Francis says. “Yet somehow, we survive from day to day without killing each other

But he’s just so tired, and words are hard. So he shuts his eyes and lets himself fall asleep to the sound of Arthur’s quiet crying, the feel of warm skin closed over his hands like a prayer for protection.___

This exceeded all expectation. Well done, anon. You've pull this off very well. I'm speechless. I love that you've put history in it. I'm rather fond of the pairing, I like how you have Ludwig's reaction in there too, and I like how you tied it all up to current(ish) events. There's nothing else I can really say except for: Well done.

Oh, anon, this is usually the kind of thing that I'm very wary of reading, but you managed to treat this prompt so well that I absolutely loved this. I love the way you involved the different nations, especially Germany and Italy, and the presence of America and Canada in the background. My favorite part by far, though, was the relationship between France and England, which was absolutely perfect-- prickly, as always, but also deeply caring. Lovely stuff.

Guh. With this fill, you've ripped out my heart, stomped on it, and melted it in an incoherent puddle at every turn, and taught me more about the Georgian conflict (I fail at having read up on that), too. Haha. ;; I've sort of been rereading this whole thing on and off for hours now. orz
As I've already said, I love the way the meeting went, and I love Alfred going nuts on everyone's ass, because they deserved it. And Arthur being so freaking caring and gentle and speaking French slajksdlkj and my love for him just went up. Again. Damn it fandom is making him grow on me to the power of infinity this is freaking ridiculous.
And this last part--the divided flashback was a beautiful way to round it off lsjd ♥ but my favorite was their banter in bed. They're still so them even after going through so much at once.
Beautiful, poignantly-written fill, authornon. I'll be coming back to this one for my France/England fluff fix for quite a while, I think.

Thank you for this fill! It manages to be both disturbing and romantic with the flashbacks to the abuse and the present-day England/France. And thank you thank you thank you for attacking the idea that "sending mixed signals" is a justification for rape.

I fucking love you, anon! You portray the relationship between France and England so well! And I absolutely adore how England's is careful and caring and at the same time still (trying to be, anyway) the grumpy old England with the poker up the wrong way. And France! Oh gods. I can't even begin to explain. The ending was perfect, how he can still be his perky French-romantic self after everything.
Then there is Germany. I can't even blame Ludwig anymore because there's a warm spot for him, too.
tl;dr anon here

Just read parts 6 - 9. I've been sitting here quietly crying for at least five minutes, not weeping, just tears rolling slow and steady, and since it seems that I won't stop for a while nor will I be able to turn them into words, I'll just say thank you again.
May I ask if you've written anything else for this meme? If you'd rather not say, that's fine.

I can only imagine how hard that must have been, Anon. Again, I salute you.
Other things I've written...if you don't mind genderswitch, I wrote Father Figure in Part III (Warning: Filled with cute and sap. Have insulin on hand). I was also the writernon of Croatoan. I've linked you to the Part IV continuation, but it has a link to what I started in Part III. If you'd like more, just ask. Or, as I've outed myself for this already, you can browse what I have in my fic journal.

Thank you for the links! I've had Croatoan bookmarked and have been waiting for a lazy, rainy afternoon to curl up with the laptop and read it. With this extra incentive, I'll just go for it in sunshine. And clearly I need to get out into other areas of the fandom so as to track down your fic journal.

I'll actually be posting Croatoan to the main Hetalia comm either sometime later this week or early next week.
In addition, I have a sequel to this that I'd like to do, so keep an eye out for that as well. :) I enable anon comments on my writing journal, so if you don't want to de-anon - which is most certainly understandable - you can still leave a comment.
