US/UK - When US starts seeing UK in a different light

There was a prompt quite a while back for when England stopped seeing America as a child. So how about the flip side of that? When (and how) does America stop seeing England as a brother/father figure and start looking at him in that way? This anon desperately wants to know/get someone's interpretation of this!
Bonus points if America's shift in feelings actually comes after the Revolution.
The Evolution of America and England (1/2)

On this like America on hamburgers! ~ It is when England first picks him up, kisses his forehead, and murmurs gently to his new little colony that America realizes he loves England. England is America's guardian, his father, the one that America never had, the one America never knew he wanted to have. But now that England is telling him stories, giving him kisses, and loving him, America is suddenly struck with how much he wants this. He wants England read to him, to teach him, to care for him. He wants England to be his father. He never says it very loudly (because England insists to be called just “England,” even though he is more than that to America) yet, America is murmuring it into England's shoulder as he is swept up in a hug.
“Papa, papa, papa...”America grows, as all children do, and he is finally hitting puberty. He is over a hundred years old (more than that; he existed long before any European stepped onto his lands). Yet, he only looks like he is twelve, thirteen at best. He has no idea how old England is (he has an idea

America pushes England away, and becomes his own Nation. There is an ocean separating the two of them, and America prefers it this way. But eventually the anger cools, and a hundred years later, after their last bitter war against each other, England and America find themselves at war again. On the same side. At first, it stuns America as the two of them fight back to back, not once, but several times in the course of two World Wars. England no longer wears flamboyant red to the battlefield. The somber green suits England in a way America would have never imagined back in 1776. But this England, the England who is by his side in the trenches, is different from a hundred years ago, even though his face is exactly the same. Eventually, America gets used to having England by his side, and even appreciates it. During the wars, America smiles at England through the pain (because England insists to be called just “England,” nothing more nothing less) and is glad of what England is to him now.

I'm ecstatic; I was not expecting my prompt to be filled so quickly! 8D This fill was just what I was hoping for - I love how America's viewpoint of England keeps on changing throughout the years, and yet England always remains the most important person in his life through it all. That's the best summary of their relationship, IMO. Thank you so much for the wonderful fill! <3
