Okay, so, here’s a bit of background info for the fic. The Nations identities were revealed to the public a number of years before this, perhaps sometime in the 90s. The general public has accepted the Nation-tans and has stopped freaking out about their existence. The Nation-tans have also continued going about their daily lives, so members of their country probably see them often on the street. The main point is- they’re not always surrounded by security officers like Presidents and Prime Ministers usually are, they are free to roam.
The fic begins in 2005, just after Spain legalized gay marriage.

General message to all my readers~
It might take a while before I can update again. Probably not too long, but maybe more than a week. I have a summer reading essay to do and my grandfather just died, so I might have a funeral to go to. ;_;
Also, from July 27-August 7th I have band camp to go to.damn I'm such a nerd But in between all this I will try to update and write as much as I can. I already have much of the plot planned out, it just needs to be written in chapters.
But I WILL continue this. So don't worry. :) Thank you for all of your wonderful comments.

It's great how you incorporate facts into the plot and make it so interesting. I like how Berwald and Tino are in this part. =] Looks forward to more pairings, or more Sweden/Finland! Especially Tino's side.

I'm glad you like all the facts! Sometimes I feel like I do to much research, but that's why I love hetalia! It got me really interested in history and countries and when I research I just go on and on sometimes.
Ah, I'm also so thankful you like the SuFin. I thought I only included a little bit in this chapter and the readers wouldn't be pleased...thank you though!

I'm actually quite happy that you set it at 2005 since Canada legalized same-sex marriage in that year. I can imagine the Canadians' reaction is going to be like "Who cares about whether our country is gay or not. The important question is, WHO TOPS!?" like it's a matter of national pride. Also, in my head canon, France and Canada are interchangeable in the relationship. I can never decide who tops XD

I believe it was like 17 days after Spain. XD
The funny thing about Canada is that before the entire country legalized it, 8 out of 10 provinces already legalized it since 2003 including Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia, the provinces that had like 2/3rds of the population already.

Ahhh I love this! Keep going as you are - it's looking good. I can imagine Feliciano getting up in front of the paparazzi and telling the truth over what he's been told to say. I can't wait to find out what Lovino says...! CHIGIIIII! Hopefully he says 'yes', though I couldn't blame him if he waited until the secrecy of his own home.
I'm so glad that you didn't do US/UK as I get soooo bored of seeing that pairing all the time. At least do UK/US if you have that pairing? Pretty please?
