So...I've made really rough scanlations of the holiday strips on the official site so far.
My holiday present for everyone :)
Note: If you can't see the first 3 imageshack ones, I've uploaded them on photobucket--
1st,
2nd, and
3rd comics.
Jump to each comic from these links:
1. サンタクロースがアメリカ人 / "Santa Claus as an American"
2. サンタ失踪 / "Missing Santas"
3. England, Canada, and Kumajirou
4. Continuation of "American Santa"
5. この三人がなぜかサンタさん / "For Some Reason, These Three as Santas"
6. よくわからないがケンカふっかけられるトルコ / "Turkey, Who Was Picked For a Fight Out of Nowhere"
7. 大和は毎年彼女ほしがってる気がする… / "It Seems Like Yamato is Looking for a Girlfriend Every Year...”
サンタクロースがアメリカ人 / "Santa Claus as an American"
サンタ失踪 / "Missing Santas"
Hyvää joulua!
フィンランド語ではサンタクロースは
Joulupukki(ヨウルプッキ)さんといいます。
(In Finnish, Santa Claus is called
Joulupukki-san.)
Next strip → translated by
voyaaage,
here!
現在サンタさんが世界各国回ってる最中だぞ!
アメリカ・カナダ軍が追跡中だ!
(Santa's in the process of visiting all
the countries around the world!
The American and Canadian armies
are tracking them now!)
この三人がなぜかサンタさん / "For Some Reason, These Three as Santas"
(↑ says: When you open the box...there's another box inside...)
なんかおばあちゃんの家とか温泉街いくとあるよね。
今日の更新はここまで! 一日おつきあいくださってありがとうございました! また明日〜
(You see these when you go to grandma's house or a hot-springs resort.
This is it for today's updates! Thanks for visiting throughout the day! See you tomorrow~)
This one isn't about Christmas, but still part of the event and is found on Himaruya's blog:
Original request: >トルコさんとギリシャさんがグダグダしてるだけで2010年は幸せになれる気がします
("I think I'll be happy throughout 2010 just by seeing Turkey- and Greece-san talking about nothing.")
This strip features characters outside Hetalia, from Barjona Bombers:
大和は毎年彼女ほしがってる気がする… / "It Seems Like Yamato is Looking for a Girlfriend Every Year...”
I'm sure the translation isn't the best, but hopefully not too horrible...
I just wanted to let people know the basic gist of these adorable strips while they're still fresh :)
I didn't really know what Finland meant about the tax thing, so I made up a translation--but would anyone happen to know the real meaning?
Thanks everyone who answered, I guess it refers to welfare money. However, I still don't get what "あその人たち" means...
I think everything's been solved now, thanks!
The newest comic can be found at the
top page of the official site, and the backlog from
here.
Apparently, this is it for today-let's look forward to the next batch of updates tomorrow!
By the way--on the official site, Himaruya wrote:
ロシアのクリスマスまでクリスマス気分味わうよ! (This Christmas mood will continue until the Russian Christmas!)
Which means that this event will continue until...Jan 7th?
Any comments are welcome!
