Summary: Some kids just aren't meant to be socialites.
Being a student as of recently was quite a bit of a surprising ‘adventure.’ Unlike secondary school, acne was not as much as an issue as snoring. Rooming was not something a lot of students experienced prior to the whole living on campus hell of university. So the ability to sleep was one issue to be concerned with, Eyvindur not being a particularly heavy sleeper. Otherwise, he really did not express any interest in having a roommate. As long as there was nothing insulting said, he would not have to start flinging things across the room. If the person was obnoxious, that would be enough of another reason to smother the roommate.
For the time being, however, he was laid out on the mattress. Thin arms were outstretched above him, as in some sort of means to grab hold of the ceiling and pull it down on him. It was the imagination merely wondering, truly, knowing that the ceiling would not act like some sort of blanket and fall down on him smoothly if he was to pull it down. With his hands alone, he knew he was not able to pull it down. With his hands alone, he knew he was not able to pull it down. The young adult mind was rotting in means of trying to find some entertainment. There was no intention to wander off, seeing that he had to get himself situated, but he just did not want to. Packing it all up prior was hellish enough as it was.
The dark eyes flickered over to the other bed, which was currently empty. A soft sigh was issued in wonderment. Though he was not too interested, Eyvindur was slightly curious about his roommate. He was not necessarily looking for an ally, but he wanted peace and quiet. But it was probably bad for the health to stay in the dorm all the time, so the Icelander knew he would have to come out once in awhile. If he was lucky enough, his roommate would be someone who slept around and would not bother to ever come back. Was that really something he wanted to think of as the best case scenario? Yeah.
(And I will be better about posting next time.)
