Anon is taking a kind of. . . liberal interpretation of "side by side" and "insert enemy of your choosing".
Also, a helpful note to avoid confusion; time does not pass the same way here as otherwise. Some of the minutes in the scene was a few years in real time. IT'S OKAY BECAUSE THEY'RE COUNTRIES ANYWAY.

France did not answer, but the grip on the face demanded explanation; to laugh at such a demand would feel exhilarating, but also painful, as mind ordered body in one movement and body fought itself over every other possibility.
"Speak to me, you petty scum! Just how desperate were you to get just one more point over me on the scorecard?"
Now France did move away from the hand, and his annoyed grunt was just as inelegant and clumsy as could be expected. France took the opportunity to push him over to the ground, and the two bodies tumbled for a brief period of time, ending naturally with France as the victor, disadvantages aside.
The disobedience swelled in France, and France's throat choked on the carefully picked words. Feverish coughing filled the darkness, barely audible undertone of furious, hungry screaming deafening both pairs of ears.

I think you got England and Seychelle's characterization down wonderfully, and it was nice to see their different views on rain. Short, sweet, and definitely bookmarked :)

America, Russia was sure, must have a severe allergy to the word 'love,' to be as careful with it as he was. Given the horrible liberties America took with just about every other word, grammatical construction, and verbal convention of the English language, the only possible explanation for his behavior around 'love' was that if America ever used the word in a way he didn't mean, his throat would close up, his face would turn blue, and he'd convulse on the floor like a dying trout until someone gave him a really big shot of steroids. . . . which, actually, now that Russia thought of it, had been kind of what America had looked like at Mexico's party, when someone told him what was actually in that bottle of tequila he'd been trying to chug

America threw it all out-even the unopened packages-without a second's regret-Russia lay back on the bed, momentarily breathless with the sheer waste of it. Worthless as the gel was, no one in his country would have thought to throw out unopened packages without even trying them--well, no one who remembered the old days. America climbed back on top of Russia, holding a handful of condoms, splayed out like a bouquet
