What a small site! haha! Talking to you earlier made me want to ask about genres but I was happy for any advice. What irony to find you answering my question anyway! :D
Again, you're so much help. I like comedy and romance, so of course I have a place to start but your definitely right about reading other fics! I need to broaden my horizons -!
ah... I have an idea already!!! Duuude, so much help already! *runs to write things down*

It's not Irony! It is fate! *hides*
You are welcome (again). I used the FF.net genres, (some of them) I hope those help, and yes, the good reader makes the good writer (according to my grandma at least)
But always write stuff you want to! Unless is a school paper. (lol I wrote paper in spanish before correcting it)
Yo. If anyone's looking at this, I'd like some suggestions for a future scene in a WIP. Long story short, it's set during WW2, Korea was kept in a Chibitalia situation by Japan and has escaped, and I need him to be recaptured by someone involved with the Japanese army without Japan himself finding out. I'm not sure where he'd go, or what circumstances he'd be found in. I was thinking he goes to China's place, but I'm not sure under exactly what circumstances he'd run into the Japanese there.

My question is what are the genres of fanfic and what kinds of things comprise them? (Examples and scenarios would be wonderful.)
