Haha, I'm tired, so there's probably something wrong with the German I used in the LJ cut. D: Excuse that, please.

ABOUT YOU

What is your basic goal in life? What would you and your rival most likely be competing for? Not starve once I get out of school Hmm. Long term, I want to become a psychologist, or teach art therapy courses, things like that. Short term wise, my goals are really just to make straight A's, and remember not to get so caught up in school work I forget to eat/get a decent amount of sleep.
So, we'd probably be competing in grades.
Would you taunt your rival openly? No. I don't like to start conflict, although I don't mind joining in if it's with someone I'm not fond of.
Would you taunt your rival quietly or anonymously? If I was going to taunt them, I would do it quietly--there's no point in doing it anonymously because I'd want them to know it was me getting them all riled up.
Would you resort to dirty means to beat them? Nope. I have...somewhat of a code of honor when it comes to rivalries. Ahaha, I know that sounds really stupid or pompous, but it's true.
Let's say you lost to them. Would you be a good sport about it? Yeah. I'd suck it up and give them a handshake, tell them they did a good job, and wait until I got home to sulk and eat some comfort food.
If you won, would you boast? Not in front of them. As soon as I was in private, I'd probably spin around in a circle singing "YESSSSS~"

ABOUT YOUR RIVAL

Would you prefer them to be sneaky or obvious about competing with you?: I want a tsundere I would want them to be obvious, because I think that would be more fun. But I'd be much more likely to start a real (as opposed to friendly) rivalry with someone if I couldn't tell whether they actually liked me or hated me. If that makes any sense at all.
Do you want them to be good at whatever they're doing? Some like a challenge, after-all~: I want to be evenly matched. That way it would be harder for both of us to see who is better in what.
How would you want them to act if they won? Do a little victory dance, sing, whatever, but still be a good enough sport to shake hands with me or give a clap on the back at the end.
How would you want them to act if they lost? Maybe raise a little fuss when they're among their friends, but to my face they'd act indifferent.
Would you like him/her to be your friend after it was all said and done? I think if we had a mutual friend we could hang out without snipping at each other. We would probably still try and avoid each other if we could, though.
If you found out they cheated, would you be upset? Would you alert others about it, or just suck it up? I'd be very offended! I might mention it to a few of my friends, but would eventually tell whoever's the big cheese (in this case, I guess a teacher).
This may not relate to your goal, but let's say... There's a wonderful prize for winning! Your rival has a very sick mother and needs the prize money to pay for the operation! ...Would you lose on purpose? Over the years, I've had a lot of close relatives in this situation, and, so, yeah, I'd throw the contest. Or at least give them the money. And some flowers. Maybe some cards.
