No. Well, I won’t bitch about it. I’d sulk and feel pretty down. This feeling will go away like in a day or so. No worries. I’ll think “Hey, if I don’t win, it’s fine. I will still gain something from this experience.” And then I’ll congratulate them…reluctantly, yet honestly.
If you won, would you boast?
I’d just feel really great inside. I wouldn’t be mean about it, or rub it in their face. I’d be feeling pretty noble once I won.

Obvious. No sense in hiding it. XD

I’d feel intimidated and less likely to want to compete…but I like pushing myself.

I don’t want them to be a jackass. If I am respectful to them, they should be respectful to me, and not gloat.

I’d feel bad if they got all depressed. Dx So, I’d want them to not be a baby and shrug it off.

This may not relate to your goal, but let's say... There's a wonderful prize for winning! Your rival has a very sick mother and needs the prize money to pay for the operation! ...Would you lose on purpose?
Yup. I would. I would feel responsible and guilty if the mother died, because me throwing the contest could help her.
