Obama's campaign is crawling with lobbyists though he said it wouldn't be (not that I care about it one way or another, but he's a hypocrite just like the rest).

well shit, he's a politician. let there be no misunderstanding that there is a certain absolute baseline from which everything is measured, here. a baseline that is at a different, lower level than the general populace.

on top of the ethical issues... there's the politics of it. i mean, the general electorate is so stupid that it needs to be told bullshit to be kept happy. like US senators will "do things" for their state. guess what? they shouldn't. and when they do? it's called "pork". and EVERYONE bitches about it...

but when they don't say they'll do it? the electorate gets mad at them and elects someone else.

the very nature of politics makes a politician a bullshitter and hypocrite to some extent. it's the ones that go above and beyond that you have to keep an eye on (ok, well, more eyes on).

also i have no idea wtf the church comment is all about...
