didn't see that comin'.

i don't like the guy's professional work, sure. but i've met him and he seemed a genuinely nice guy. and he always "reprazented" b-town. which is still my hometown, despite how much i despise it's denizens.

see ya on the other side,

see ya on the other side, russ.

No you won't, you fucking liar. heh.

It is very sad however. I met him a couple times in unguarded situations. Once at a wake few years ago (as I'm sure you know, a highlight of the Irish social calender.) And another time, when I was much younger, at Schwabl's where my Grandfather, a few of my cousins and I were enjoying beef on weck when Tim and Big Russ walked in. My Grandpa and Big Russ knew each other from the Knights of Columbus. When introduced to Tim all I could blurt out was that I lived on the same street he did as a kid (at the time I lived on Woodside Ave.). He responded by asking about the welfare of a few of my aunts and uncles. Regardless of his less-than-stellar journalism, he was a genuinely good guy.

I'm gonna really miss, after throwing things at his head on the TV for an hour during Meet the Press, hearing him say "Go Bills!" or seeing the equivalent written on his Dry-Erase board at the end of the program during football season.

Travel easy 'Timmeh'.
