I know this isn't supposed to be like Heaven... but does it HAVE to get THIS bad?

Yesterday morning I woke up super congested and one of my eyes was GLUED shut. I mean I couldn't open it!!!!
I had to pick away the VERY thick crusty layers before gaining any semblance of control over my right eye.

Side note:
This MAY be partly my fault... I haven't had an eye exam for over 3 years. I am due. But booking an appointment is a pain,

FYI - I had an eye appointment Nov. 21 and fessed up to my optometrist that I wear my contacts pretty much 24/7. She furrowed her brow and checked my eyes. She said they look good, the contacts even looked good for having been worn for two months. But suggested that I take them out even once a week over night just to be safe. I have the new Optix Air ones. I love them.

And it will get better.
