Could somebody please explain to me why the movie "Crash" was even remotely good? I thought it was the most contrived drivel I'd seen in ages. It felt like I was watching a story written by a 14 year old suburban teen. What the fuck chuck?

Count me as one of the folks who really enjoyed it. I thought it deserved to win.
It forces a lot of conversation, if you care to. Such as, did the daughter know the bullets she gave her dad were blanks? There are indications that she did, and she didn't. But it's a hella plot twist either way, wouldn't you say?
I also liked how all of the characters were human and flawed .. you hate Matt Dillon and think you know who he is, when you see him with Thandie in the opening. But then when you see him with his dad, he's a different character. Or, just the same guy with more layers.
So, yeah, I really enjoyed it
