Text: Dear Mother, Hogwarts seems so odd now. Of course I am sooo glad to have Professor Snape as Headmaster, he's soooo brilliant but a full year without Draco is almost unthinkable. I like Prof. Carrow in DADA so far - really about time we did something and I do think now those (underlined) stupid (end underline) children who are always being sooo (something crossed out) horrid about Prof. Snape get what's coming to them. And at the same time we loyal students are learning what we need to know to survive in this world as it is. I think you'll be surprised at what your little girl knows now. I only wish Draco was here to see me and to know he was safe. (Four words crossed out - possibly 'Not that I' and another unknown word) My love to Xanthos. Kisses, your darling (green ink now becomes pink) Pansy.
