The insane adventures of Katie in Hong Kong

Nov 16, 2004 16:04

I could not sleep on the 14th - the night before. I vaguely remember dreaming, but that was it. Everything else was lying there, anticipating the dawn. I awoke before my mother came in at 5 am and told me to get dressed; dressed in a white sweater, pleated plaid skirt, stockings, heels, and a black Guess bag. Man, I sound like a failure compared to you. :/

LMAO I would just bring my art and say I kinna barely guitar and write shit but omg I live.. here and just be honest XD

But at the same time, honest with flattery.

I usually do pretty good on interviews and things like that. The only time I did horrible was at History Day for state, cause I was so nervous and.. tired.

Omg that reminds me I had a chance to enter poem contest things a lot when I was in fourth grade but one time I wrote this poem and showed this girl and she was like "...this sucks." so my confidence was shattered forever and wow that's why it took me till 8th grade to show my songs publically. XD

..And amazingly enough, that song was about DEATH. XD But omg it was inspirational about someone else who died. ;_;

And by fifth grade, I never wrote happy things again...

hmmm.

*rant rant* *IS AWAKE LOLZ*

That does remind me though. I was looking at your LJ and Exeter looks at grades from 6th grade+? That's when I started to fuck up. XD

If you don't make the best of grades EVA' (I really had some hard times), but make good SSAT scores and do good on the interview do you still have a chance of getting accepted?

I feel so guilty, I snuck on the school computer in the library to check your entry!!! Ah!! The bell will ring soon, but I just had to see how it went and I am so pleased that it went well for you. I will post a longer comment when I am at home, but I have to stay for a basketball game to take pictures and then to tutor. I'm glad it went well, will write again asap

Hey, Katie. I'm in the school's library on one of their many computers for after school tutoring, but the tutors exceeded the students this time, so I am free to do as I please.

So I gave the school reccomendation to my counsler this morning, and she said she will be including my grades from 6+ so I suppose that kind of goes for all boarding schools. I'll giving my two teachers their reccomendation forms probably tomorrow. <.< I wonder what their response will be ( ... )

Random interjection: I think I could answer all those questions well except number 3... was number 3 really focused or just kinna skim-skimmy? Cause I can't afford to apply to Andover now x___x

They ask that question because like. . . they want to know if you're going to go to their school or not (they want to keep their matriculation percentage high). It will ride well if you're like "oh, it's my only choice" methinks. But I didn't lie and just told the truth. XD

Also I agree with you -- I'm not a frequent flyer (not as frequent as you) but I'm not a beginner or anything (I've been on planes since I was younger if I remember correctly), but, I love planes too... I love the feeling as they take off, and that.. certain excitement there.

I know exactly what you mean. As soon as the plane starts speeding up on the runway, I get all happy because "yay I'm going to have that feeling of takeoff again!!". Sad, I know, but it's a high for me. XD

Damn, I hate airplanes. I think it's more of a claustophobia thing for me. I tend to panic if I feel it takes to long for people to get off the plane and these silly thoughts start running through my head i.e. What if the door got stuck? Lmao, I know, I know. XD And I am not a fan of the take-off/landing either.

XD And terrorists? I used to be afraid but then realized wow that's 1 out of a million and I am not going to be that one because I am "destined" to lead some magical life (arrogant = me). Lmao wtf.

*random interjection again* My mom and I flew a plane only about 2 months after the WTC attack. XD I'm still amazed to this day I wasn't freaked out of my mind
