Dear Journal,
I've come to the conclusion (after a dinner of raw carrots, broccoli & cauliflower) that I really DO NOT like cauliflower. BLEH! No thank you...you can HAVE it!

It always reminds me of bleached brains. My mom always makes me cut it up since she knows I hate it.

It does look like brains....and I don't like the consistency or flavor of it....not even cooked...although, it's easier to swallow when it's cooked.
As long as she doesn't make you eat it..... ;op

It sounds like the Birmingham Diet that Chris and I used to do where we had that for one of our meals during the 3 day diet.
My tummy couldnt take it

I'll have to check that diet out. (doubt my tummy can take it either)
I was just in the mood for a plate of raw veggies last night...and the cauliflower ruined it...

Miss you guys!

My mother used to saute them in water which brought out the worst of their flavor. I have a particularly tasty if not quit so healthy way of cooking them. I slowly saute them in heavy cream. The heat slowly denatures (probably not the right term but it works) the bitter flavor and the cream slowly caramelizes to an almost light buttery form which is of course quite delicious. BUT it's rather heavy in cholesterol.

Yeah...sometimes tasty isn't so healthy....but if it pleases the palate....
I don't mind being unhealty sometimes. :o)
That sounds good...now I'm hungry.
