summary. after a daring rescue, the archangel is...less than amused.
timeline. after dean runs himself off the road ( way to go dummy ).
He'd always watched over Dean. Even when he wasn't really there he was still there. Right beside him, watching. Hoping that the happiness that Dean believed he was feeling was a happiness that he got to keep, if only because it was well-deserved. Dean deserved to be happy and Castiel was willing to go at any lengths to insure that happiness above anything else in the world. Even if it didn't seem like it was amounting to that much nowadays. A breath was held the moment he sensed Dean was in danger, but for the most part he remained unmoved. It lasted about .05 seconds before he appeared where the wreckage was before carefully pulling Dean out and bringing them to safety. The Impala, he figured, could be dealt with on a later date as he reappeared in some vacant house in a town near by before using his abilities to heal the hunter. That was one of the benefits to having his powers back. He was of use to Dean again if he should ever call on him. Though he doubted it would ever happen.
Cas sat at the edge of the bed he'd laid Dean on after cleaning him off and...pulling the covers over him. If it were anyone else, he would have left. But Dean was Dean. The loyalty there knew no leaps and bounds as he stared on in the darkness. Not really collecting a coherent thought before he heard the hunter start to move, glancing over his shoulder at him. "You took a wrong turn, Dean." Yes...that may have been a joke. But Cas wasn't going to point it out for what it was as he turned to face the hunter, tilting his head to the side with a curious look in his eyes. "How are you feeling?"
