[Locked to Torchwood Chicago]I have no idea how many of you know how much about something called the Organization. From what I know, it's a powerful shadow faction in Chicago and likely extending outside of its bounds

He's an old friend of mine. Old Torchwood employee. Our history hasn't exactly been uncomplicated.
The person who's picked him up almost got him - the last version of him who came to Chicago - to defect from Torchwood. I'm not sure she knows that I'm aware of that, but it does make the fact that she grabbed him and is making a point of releasing him to us a bit worrying.
I haven't heard a whole lot about the O, but I think that's sort of the point. There's a lot of power shifting going on with the latest Rift fuck up. If she's sending Torchwood a message because of it, it's a good idea that someone like me goes to keep it neutral till you know what's really up.
But you know that already, so.
I kind of meant what's going on with you. I'm new to this guardian/ward thing, but even I know I'm supposed to be getting something from you.
I can bring him in. What's your stance on me trying to psychically mine information from them? Could be risky, because I don't think I'm good enough to remain undetected if they've got another psychic, but I could pick up some potentially valuable info. You know more about the Organization and their capabilities than I do.
I don't object, so long as you're certain they don't have any way to detect you. If there's any chance, I'd rather not run the risk of pissing them off. Not until I have a better idea of their agenda, in any case.
Assuming the person handing Ianto off to you isn't Ms. Sandric herself, the risk might be lower.
If they're neither psychic nor have any psychic training, the risk of detection is negligible. And frankly, any psychic worth their salt should be able to peg me as one as well, because the presence of mind shielding tends to be easily detectable if you know what you're looking for.
I'll stick to passive listening rather than scanning, at least at first. Even if another psychic catches me at it, it's generally not considered rude as long as you're not actively prying, and especially not in an unknown situation.
