Just finished reading Mockingjay. I have so many feelings right now. :(

How did you like the Hunger Games? I went and saw the movie and I have to say, I'm not on the fangirl bandwagon. So I'm interested to know how the actual books were.

Book definitely better than the film. The film was faithful to the book in terms of plot, but the book has so many nuances the film doesn't quite capture. Also, the film played up the romance part of the plot quite a bit, which I was expecting, but it took a lot of the edge out of it, which was unfortunate.

I really do recommend the books. I've got one of my flatmates hooked on them now, and she never reads for fun, which is a pretty ringing endorsement.

I've read all three of the books. Did you just read the first one or have you read all three?

I've not got to see the movie yet but I'm wanting to go see it this Thursday. Did you really think it wasn't to good?

Just finished the third.

I actually really enjoyed the movie, I just liked the book more. It definitely wasn't a bad film, it was actually probably one of the better adaptations I've seen in a while.
