Well, it's primarily up to you. I keep my journal friends only because I only want people who share the same interests as I to read my journals. I also post about my life and of course sometimes personal things that I only wish for my friends to read. It gives me a sense of privacy. So, if you are comfortable with anyone reading your journal, then by all means keep it public :)

Yeah. I keep the personal posts strictly friends only but I don't know...cos I'm always open to new friends... like friends who know you, if you know what I mean. And I want someone to add me as a friend because they've read some of my entries (not the private ones of course) and like me for who I am, instead of reading a list of interests and friending me only because of that. You know? Like... ten thousand people have similar interests if you know what I mean. Or am I just rambling? :S

No, I definitely get what you are trying to say. I think friendship on LiveJournal is formed via the communities we belong in. Rather than have people read from my journal, I like to get to know the people who have the same interests as me on a deeper level before friending...now I feel like the rambler :P

I keep my journal friend's only because I do post so much about my family. I have a few public posts here and there, but I am pretty weird about personal stuff. It is your journal, though, so do what feels comfortable to you.

As long as I get to stay, of course.

Mostly the things I post about are my friends or school which isn't too personal I guess. But I know that if I were to talk about family and stuff.. I would definitely keep that entry on 'friends only'.

I just don't know why, but I like keeping the non-personal entries public because I just guess I don't see the harm, if you know what I mean? Like.. my brain sorta says, why keep everyone out of it?

Did I tell you about the time in Helsinki where my Uncle took stalker shots of a guy off the street? Well... my lil bro was walking along right, and that same guy pushed past him and instantly Uncle decided to label him as a 'pedophile'. So he followed him. And took pics.
