Suzie appears from upstairs looking more than a little frazzled.
"There's no need to scream, Arnold. Did you bring the--" she realizes John is there--and her facial expression transforms into something far more annoyed.
"Honestly, they're dragging the foreign police into this now? I already told three officers I don't know where they got the explosives, and neither does Arnold, and shame on you for harassing a little boy!"
Arnold facepalms gently. "Suzie, John is a friend of mine, remember? He came to help get the house in order..."

Arnold opens the door and steps into the foyer of the boarding house, which is full of boxes.
The narration apologizes for John's ears as Arnold yells for Suzie.
