I just got one of those cooling lapdesks for my laptop, but now my keyboard is higher than I'm used to and it feels all different, so I keep typing Oatrick instead of Patrick.

That night when Patrick crawls into bed he moves a stack of papers out of the way with his knee and leans in to kiss Pete's bare shoulder. Pete smiles, and it's not the smile that can sell a million girl scout cookies, it's the smile Patrick used to see across Formica diner tables and through the glass in recording studios. It makes Patrick smile back, always has, and Patrick has to kiss Pete's shoulder again. He leaves his mouth there, head bent down. "I'm sorry."

I love this so much, seriously. They have a kiiid and they're in loooove and Pete is insane about selling Girl Scout cookies, and just. I LOVE YOU, OKAY. ♥

We were talking about why the kids in kidfic are always girls, and then you said a bunch of intelligent things that basically, um, stuff. THIS (UN)FIC IS PERFECT and I can't stop flailing.

(I think kidfic inherently deserves The Cheesiest Icon Ever, but. Maybe this is better than kidfic. Idk. Cheese it is; I haven't used it in a while, I think I'm due.)

That's right! And clearly I really took it to heart! (If memory serves, I just thought Pete + Girl Scout Cookies = instant hilarity. And there's no such thing as Boy Scout Cookies.)
