Yeah, I never watched any episodes either...never had more than basic cable. I started watching them when they were re-runs on TBS. They're cute, funny and mostly honest in the portrayl of women. I'm a Harry Potter fan too. Good writing. I recomment them both:)
Thank you!!!!!!! I did try to watch SATC but just couldn't take it. Didn't like the show, the characters, and frankly, the actors! My friends think there's something wrong with me because I won't see the movie!!!!! I'm relieved to know there's someone else that feels the same. (Now, about Harry Potter books - I LOVE them all!)

Years ago I watched ONE episode of SITC just to see what all the fuss was about. The whole time I thought WTF? The show's ridiculously contrived and not remotely as brilliant as it pretends to be. Also, The Simpsons said it best: It's a show about four single women who act like gay men. I must admit, though, I was highly impressed at how those women could strut around in those stilettos.
And I tried the Harry Potter book thing. I read a few chapters and really enjoyed them. Then I put the book down and saw the movies instead.
Evidently, I'm slacker mom AND slacker fabulous woman.

Stilettos. Eek. I think I just heard something whimper in fear - either my feet at the thought of wearing them or some size 9 shoes in a distant store at the thought of carrying me around.
I do like Sarah Jessica Parker though - always have, since the Square Pegs days.
And hey - I gather you're a fellow former Chicagolander, yes?
I like the Harry Potter movies, and one of these days I'll likely read the books, but I have a lot on my "to be read" list. And You People keep coming up with new blogs for me to read.
I am right there with you. I havent seen Harry Potter, or any Sex & The City or (GASP) Desperate Housewives. If you have to turn in your card I guess I do too LOL I really enjoy reading your blog. ;0)

I tried to watch an episode or two of SATC when it went to re-runs on TBS, but after about three minutes I had to turn the channel.
I have seen most of the Harry Potter movies and really liked them - do I get any points for that? Heh-heh
