Went to the library to vote- 2 precints there. My precint only had a few people in line but the other one had a line down the hall and out the door... and that was around 6:45am. when I left, CBS from Chicago was set up outside interviewing people. great way to start the day!

I took my two little ones and we walked in at 7:35, dropped them at school at 7:55. They were thrilled. As I have been an active volunteer we had looked at sample ballots and talked about them so we were prepared. However, my little guy was a little perturbed that I didn't pick a "party". Oops - forgot to explain straight party/split tickets. They got that information on the way to school. I was excited!!!

We voted on Saturday so that Rob could vote, and we stood in line for a little over an hour. I saw 4 school staff while I was there! LOL ~ Carrie
