Boccioni is an italian futurist painter and sculptor, who's bronze-cast "Unique Forms of Continuity in Space" greatly impressed me. It needs to be seen in 3D to be appreciated properly. While I understand the central concept here, the linking of movement/stillness with simple lines that fade into stone, I find that the contrast is marred slightly by the fact that I don't really get that much of a sense of motion from the dancers themselves - or to be precise from the blue figure.

That said, I like the lack of reflective colour and environmental effects, I think it works well on the stone feel, something like a cave painting maybe?
