WHAT?!?!?!?!

Dude...I never thought this could happen. I am not even Catholic anymore, but he is 'The Freakin' Pope'. This disturbs me.

I mean....he is *the* Pope....can you even name one of the bishops or cardinals? Can most Catholics?

I mean....sure; I thought of Reagan and Clinton as *the* presidents, because Reagan was the first president I remembered, and was there for most of my pre-teenage years; Clinton was there from the time I was a teenager, and throughout high school, dropping out of college, and my first two Army assignments....

....but the Pope has always been there. He has been the only pope in all 25 years. He was the Polish Pope; what the hell will Poland be known for now, besides sausage?

gah ... I want to talk to Stephen so bad about it, but he's in France right now and it would cost him a fortune if I called him.

Given his last rights? Does that mean he got arrested or he is dying?

Last rites are what you give a man right before he dies, to cleanse him of any sins he may not have confessed, from what I remember.

that he *may* die soon.

sometimes people are given their last rites and do not die for quite some time. It's a precaution for now.

Point. I don't want him to have to go through the Terri Schiavo saga, though...I really must face it; it will be a strange man when I watch Midnight Mass this year. This year, he just barely spoke at all, but it was still John Paul. I just sobbed, as usual, even though I am not Catholic, and was sober this year (Man, I have a funny Midnight Mass story).

Sorry; it is the most religious icon I have, besides the 'iGod Pope' iPod knockoff I did.

oh, I was updating from my mobile. I was so taken by it that I just had to update.

Anyhow, it was supposed to be later, but uh... LOL it was my mobile, so I really didn't pay attention.
