I updated my journal. Um. I made most of my entries public but some of them still only my friends can see because I don't really want everyone and their parents to read them.
My mom said that she's going to sign my up for Russian lessons. They do them in Nashua and the next session starts Feb 20. I think I'm going to get private lessons because one ( Read more... )

my mom says that if i'm 100% sure that i want to do russian studies, that she'll put me in lessons because for some reason i MUST learn it before college. parents. oh well, i'm not complaining, except for the scheduling issues. i'm pretty sure knowing russian and french will increase my chances of getting into vassar. perhaps they can count for college credit. i have the russian rosetta stone, so i can say like uber basic things in russian so far. yeah. i should go to bed.

I saw Regina last night, properly for the first time. Also Oleg's mom & stepdad are here, and I am hearing a lot of Russian, and both things made me think of you.

that is really amazing. i must go back to the russian store and get some more of those chocolate bar-ish things. i must go back there in general. they have this chocolate, called space, like outer space, if you translate it to english. annnd it's really good. i wish i could be around russian people. my mom and i were talking about russia in starbucks and we stopped for a minute. then we both looked at each other at the same time and she was like, "what are they speaking...?" the couple next to us had been speaking russian the whole time and we didn't even notice. then we started laughing. yeah SLEEP. goodnight, america.

Well, she played a song I had never heard before, and she said it was brand new. So, I guess? I'm not really well versed in her bootlegs, though. Um, I called Heather during it, but she didn't know it either. So, probably. It was really really awesome. It was just her and a grand piano for the whole concert, except for three songs when she played the guitar.
