A few days ago I was intending to buy a PSP. Somehow (I think it involved a pub at some point) I ended up with a DS instead. I've been playing "Hotel Dusk" on the bus to and from work this week, an interesting mystery-type game and I'm yet to try out Advance Wars, the other DS title I bought

As it happens, my local gaming society has just finished an online Diplomacy game and is recruiting for another:

I quite liked Advance Wars on the GBA. Never got around to the DS version, though. I can strongly recommend 42 All Time Classics if you're even vaguely interested in card and board games.

I've played a game locally - knowing the people in the game well, and being able to find them IRL does help a lot. Otherwise, you end up with a feeling of having no knowledge of what anyone else will do, and that gets a bit disheartening.
