Well, I guess there is another way to look at this. It's not like every state Bush won was won by a landslide. Except for the predictable southern states, most states were about equal Kerry/Bush. It's not just the four years, though. It's the Supreme Court. Rehnquist is already a goner, but he was conservative anyway, so that's not a loss. But Ginsberg, O'Connor and Stevens are all getting old enough now that they could be out soon. And Bush has already pledged to install uber-conservative justices.

And then there's Ashcroft, who has made it his crusade to dismantle the Net. And with a Republican majority in both the House and Senate, anything Bush wants to get passed will pass.

And now it looks like Rossi is going to win here, too.

We're screwed.

Yeah, yeah. That doesn't really make me think it sucks more than it already does, because it sucks now. A lot. I'm not really saying that it's ok with me, just that it doesn't feel like it can get much worse. Thank god for individual state legislation. Why doesn't the West Coast just move out and form its own country.
