So, full of anticipation and bearing the 15% discount voucher, I trotted around the corner from work to Tiso to spend far too much money on lovely camping equipment. Five whole floors of stuff to poke and and deliberate over. Oh yes ( Read more... )

Fucking Tiso. They're always like that. They think they're the best goddamned outdoors shop on the high street, when really they're the most overpriced. Fuckers.

I know nothing of the law, but I'm uniquely qualified to ring them up and shout their impertinent, callous, supercilious, privileged asshole ears off. Might I have the address and or phone number of the shop, please?

Thank you. May I keep you in reserve in case my polite but furious approach fails to garner a useful response? But thank you for your beautiful rage.

Yes, fuck Tiso's. You will get everything you need from the enthusiastically helpful lot at the army surplus on Leith walk, so long as you want it all in olive green. I hate Tiso. Complain strongly to their head office.

Thanks, I'll take a look there this weekend! It's mostly mess tins and stuff so that should be fine. Green's a good colour.

Unless their shop is in a listed building in which it's impossible to put a lift, or in a tiny building in which it's impossible to put a lift, they haven't got a fucking leg to stand on.

I don't know who you should talk to in Edinburgh if you wanted to actually take this to court, but in the meantime, you can be VERY threatening.

it's huge, and fully refitted. And i would be amazed if they don't have a goods lift in there... it may be listed but all the other shops around there would be too and they have lifts.

I'm emailing head office tomorrow. So, we'll see.

Also, don't let them fob you off with something about how they're getting round to it. DDA has been active for something like 10 years now.

Do any of the local media outlets have a consumer watchdog reporter? If you're not getting anywhere with the legal system, a little bad press goes a long way.
