Saw The Cure play in Phoenix last night . . .

Good concert. The lights and sound were perfect, and they played a lot of good stuff . . . two new tracks of the album coming out this fall . . . which sounds really good.

Yeah. It was my second The Cure concert . . . they were both about 3 hrs. long . . . you really do get a good show.

It's amazing . . . he's been playing a show EVERY OTHER DAY for over a month in the US . . . and he's 49! And he was just as good at the end as at the beginning. It was really incredible.

I'm a big fan of Wild Mood Swings (which makes me one of the only Cure fans I know who loves that album more than most . . .) and hearing Want, and then Wrong Number (same era, but off of the Galore greatest hits CD . . . was a real treat. I didn't expect to hear anything from that period.

The older stuff with keyboard was neat to hear live. The just used two guitars, bass and drums . . . so all the keyboard parts were played on the guitar . . . the mix was really interesting.
