This is beautiful. What I like the most is that Adam is a real person here, not just a device for Kurt's development; I like that he has his own past and hurt, and that the healing is recirpocal.

Also, I love fics that suggest rather than make everything explicit and you suggested brilliantly a whole back story of failed love and its consequences for Adam.

What a lovely story! I really do want to get to know more about Adam, his backstory, etc., but in the meantime, it's nice to have fanfic to fill in those little details. I also like how thoughtful Kurt is, and how he really listens to Adam, takes it in, and remembers it. These are the kinds of things that make for a good, healthy relationship, which I really want for them both.

I'm so hopeful for Kadam. It's so hard for me to find a pairing (slash or het) where I like both characters a LOT, and I hope they're the best possible partner for each other.
