WE'RE ENGAGED!!!
So, Monday was my 42nd birthday!  Woot!  Jon and I had Chinese take-out, and he said he had dessert covered.  After dinner, he brings out a very nice box of chocolates.  And there, stuck in the very center one, was a beautiful ring, and under the chocolate was a lovely printed note asking me to marry him!  Squee!

Mom and Dad both seem to like him. Jon and Dad can talk cars, and he and Mom can talk art. That is to say, he'll listen while Mom talks art. GGG Mom says he's too quiet, but I like it - and he talks a lot more when we're alone. All my friends like him, and most importantly, both of the cats adore him. I trust their instincts (Jenny didn't like either of the ex-boyfriends much at all).

So, Mom - what DO you think? :) ( knowing she'll probably read this)
