TENT!!! WOOT!!!

Seriously wish I could have been to more Tent performances in my life. Good times had under that hot tent :) (used to go with my theatre class or crew or techies....any flavor of theatre junkies we could gather up into a group)

But I am slowly learning that the theatre life here isn't so bad (I'm a creature of habit....I need my SLT and Gillioz and Hammons). Though I couldn't be a part of the gang here, just the audience.

I got out of the theater dept (it was my minor when I started college) in the latter part of my sophomore year because there was a bit too much drama. :) Yes, it's a pun, but it's also true. People were always stabbing each other in the back, dragging you into drama when you had nothing to do with it...a lot of favoritism amongst professors... it just wasn't worth the payoff anymore. But I still love the theater, go as often as I can. And I have great memories from those years ( ... )

That's usually how it goes ;P You start college thinking you want one thing and come out with a degree in something COMPLETELY different!

But years of theatre in college is still fun :) I did high school theatre (we had TONS of it to choose from) and some intro to and tech and construction and other stuff when I was in college (got to be a part of OTC's first stage production a few years ago, that was really cool).
And also the creative writing and such :P (I do love to write!!)

But my passion is nursing, no matter how much the other hobbies twinkle like diamonds sometimes. So the goal is to finish nursing school very very soon (ahem, when I have money :P ).

I definitely enjoyed theater, and working in media (I was a production assistant at KOLR10 for a year after college). It was fun, but the pay was awful--and that station is in a union. Other stations around Spfd pay even less. :)
