Bluebeard was the closest thing Mr. Vonnegut ever wrote to a memoir. It isn't about his life, but more about his thoughts and beliefs. In that, I find it to be his best work.

The only better insight to his true thoughts on life comes from Slapstick. The last line before the epilogue reads, "I was god, waist deep in the milky way." What does that say about the cynical, humanistic writer?

that's so interesting. I absolutely loved the novel. I continuously read hoping that it's actually about his life but you never really know, you know?
No, I haven't read Play Piano. I've just started Slaughterhouse Five.
It's a good one?

I've read everything by him except for Timequake and Hocus Pocus (which I will get to after this semester's reading load dies down).
