This journal is now friends only cause I'm slightly uncomfortable with totally public exhibitionism nowadays. I'll stick with the pseudo-controlled kind. However, I'm reasonably happy to add people provided they post more than quiz results. Comment here or I might not notice. Oh and I talk about knitting loads - consider this fair warning.

Excellent! Will respond with my own sekret thoughts if I ever have any - seem to be feeling public at the moment but will see how things develop.

Are you getting any sleep at the moment? We're not. No, that's not true, we are getting loads compared to the early days, just not compared to all the parents I know whose same-age children are sleeping through.

About 3 weeks ago I was practically in tears from lack of sleep, so from that perspective things at the moment aren't so bad. But while on good nights I usually get a 5 to 6 hour sleep, there's no sign that sleeping through is likely to happen for quite some time.

Actually, I took last Friday off, sent aisling to the child minder anyway and slept all morning. I've been in such a good mood ever since. It's amazing what a difference it made.
