Betas and Mentors wanted!
We will be posting the sign up post sometime on Thursday. But this is a different type of post.
Once we get through the sign ups and issue assignments, the writers and artists are going to need to start. And sometimes starting is the hardest part. Sometimes a request can be vague and the gifter will really have no idea where to start. A mentor, especially if the requestor didn't provide a go-to person, can help generate ideas and storylines.
All stories can benefit from a good beta. A beta will read a story and know what questions to ask or suggestions to make to improve it. They can help with grammar, tell the creator if someone is behaving out of character, or sometimes find inconsistencies in the story. Artwork can also benefit from a beta looking over it. They can help with coloring, physical traits (Ginny's freckles, Harry's scar) or even the overall tone of the art.
