Back at Hogwarts for the day, Hermiones low heels clicked along the stone as she walked through the empty hallways. "I was always positive brilliant minds thought alike," Kyle finally spoke, having watched her enter. He hadn't been able to get back to sleep, so he had returned from his brother-in-law's house for an early morning study session.

Whipping her head around, Hermione's hair went flying as she looked for the owner of that voice..the voice that haunts my dreams

Finally spotting Kyle her face immediately filled with warmth and she smiled, saying nothing at first. Making a mental picture of how he looked surrounded by the darkness of the wood, the smell of the library thick in the air, the sun streaming in through the windows lighting him with an ethereal glow. Her heart sighed as she realized he just got better looking with each pacing year.

Picking up her books she grinned and headed over to join him, "studying for the Merlin?" she asked, her expression conveying her delight in seeing him here and her dismay at the upcoming exam.

"You bet," he replied cheerfully, positioning the other armchair so it was more facing him.

"Come on over. We did this fifth year, we can do it again now."

Kyle knew Hermione was the best study buddy he'd ever had.

Smiling at Kyles enthusiasm she piled into the seat next to him, pulling her legs up under her she teased, "5th year? what about 6th and 7th and the first time I took the Merlin?" She smiled easily. Being with Kyle always felt so right.
