I really don't want to put copies up online - as a fellow author, I feel strongly that it was her right to pull them down - but if you send me an email here on LJ within the next couple of days, I'll try (no promises) to get you story(ies) you want. I think Im only missing 1 or 2 (the directory claims there are 37 stories in it...)

I'll then pull this comment down so Im not getting emails weeks, months and years later :)

i'm always really disappointed when writers delete everything. well, i have copies of Gravity and Learning to Fly... don't know what made me download them. i'm kind of glad i did now.

Ill be honest, thats just a bit too close to posting them back online for my comfort. She took them down, we should respect that. If you want to share what you have via email, trading files and whatnot, its like the bootleg days of yore, but lets not go making them available en masse. Just my opinion.

Would you kindly send me copies of hgfan111 stories -- especially "learning to fly" and "easier to be". I used to have copies of those stories, but lost it when my computer crashed. I truly appreciate if you can. I think Andy is an amazing story writer. I don't know why she did what she did, but she must had a very strong reason to do so...and I hope the best for her. As I am quite new on this site -- I am not sure how to send you my email address and I don't really want to post it publicly either. Please advise - thank you

I guess I just don't understand the motivation behind doing that. I mean, you can just leave it and detach yourself from the username(s) and let it all fallow indefinitely, why go through and delete everything?

It's just very sad because with the amount of inactivity lately, and now with cibjasfad pulling out, it seems like this ship is sinking. *cue Dido*

My guess is that she may have gotten involved in original writing. I've seen this in fanfic authors before, normally when they are about to publish their own original pieces the publishing company tells them to delete whatever writing they have online. But it could always be for a different reason.

i've seen that in the public domain works (ex. pride and prejudice), but they've usually just deleted all the chapters and left a short sentence in the first. they might also leave a note in their profile.

I know a few fic writers who ended up using some pieces of their fic writing in their original writing, so they deleted the fic just so their OF and fic wouldn't be tied together. Especially if the fic was smutty. :)
