Lovely! Of course I have that problem where if I started to quote bits I like I would end up pasting the whole thing. But I particularly love "what he fondly imagined to be subtlety" - and Ray's unhesitating response to that - and the promise not to wake him, I really love that. Actually I've heard that! And paying the penalty, with the little game-of-rugby loopback. Just loverly. Thank you so much!
