Fic Search

Aug 10, 2013 02:10

Hi everyone, I've been stumbling around various fanfic sites trying to find two particular stories for the last several months and was hoping some of you lovely people could point me in the right direction.

Info. behind the cut.... )

Heee! I'm such a SS/HG nerd, I actually know both of these, but I had to search for the first one a bit, I knew I had rec'd it way back when I first started doing rec's for One_Bad_Man.

I'm sure the first one is: From a Frog to a Prince by coacochristy it's posted at TPP here: http://www.thepetulantpoetess.com/viewstory.php?sid=9644

The second one is one of Aurette's which I just reread a few weeks ago, Titled: Needs Must and it's posted at FF.net here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6346173/1/Needs-Must

Thank you so much :) I'd read them ages ago and stupidly never bookmarked them, I'm off to read and bookmark them now. You're a star xx

Funny that you picked these two stories, they both made a significant impact on me. Frog to a Prince because I hated the way both Snape and Hermione behaved for most of the fic. He was an ass and she was a doormat. And I could barely read Needs Must because of the parallels to my own horrible 1st marriage.
Both powerful, well-written fics, but I couldn't reread either of them.

I understand you're position completely.

Personally I read both of these fics at the beginning of my interaction with the Hermione/Severus fandom, so they hold a piece of my heart for that fact alone. There's also just something quint essentially human about both of the fics that resonates for me personally. I agree that both stories can be hard to read depending on how I'm feeling on any given day, it's the same with The Dissolution Law by mia madwyn, the subject matter and the actions of the characters are certainly not for the every day read, but its so beautifully written and it has such a powerful effect on me that it is one of my all time favourite fics (when I'm in the right mood to read it).
