Why is Germany home now? How long were you there?

I lived there for 8 years total....almost all in the same town. I did a lot of growing up there....I have always considered it my home....I've never felt so comfortable in an area...I would be happy to settle down there, if not for the whole immigration fear, lol. I didn't want to come back to the US, lol....not for a lack of love for my country, I just didn't want to leave, lol.
