let

Wimple Winch - "Sagittarius" (2.8 MB)

this song be my toast to we who Th Zodiac doesn't trust to stay put or stay true. & dedicate

Incredible String Band - "First Girl I Loved" (6.9 MB)

Round 2 to th things we're amazed to discover are still! kicking! deep in th recesses of our lower consciousness. th things we've managed to not fuck w/ but stumble upon via who knows what dusty, forgotten mindpath WHEN OUR @ LEAST SOMEWHAT MATURED PERSPECTIVE MOMENTARILY RENEWS THEIR RELEVANCE. those caps were accidental, but ah'm gunna leave 'em since this is heady & i managed to make myself laugh for a second.

what if Th Zodiac doesn't actually predict patterns of behavior/ aspects of personality, but people feel subconsciously pressured to act those ways BECAUSE of Th Zodiac? WHAT THEN??

that and Ballad of the Band were the songs that taught me the deal about the fees to be paid for publishing cover versions.

nothing dramatic -- just a short-lived label I was partner on. The royalties went smoothly. The most drama came when we insured the CD's when we sent them to the bands and the bands got taxed on the value of our insurance.

My knee-jerk reaction is to say, "pipe down ye little whippersnapper."
Then I slapped the side of my head and realized I'm only 27.

I haven't seen The Muppet Movie in ages. Way to throw me down Memory Lane without cab fare for the return trip.

You have an uncanny knack for dragging out things that I only dimly remembered; I first saw that animation probably around second grade or so.

1st class ride, hey ho, let's go.

I would laugh at thee in an avuncular fashion and say something like "don't be a silly puppy, you're nowhere near anywhere close to being old"... but when I think about it, I realize that it might be a good thing for you to feel that way. It's way too easy to squander your youth living too fast, then forget to do the dying young part. One day you wake up and realize that it's too late to leave a good-looking corpse, all that amazing potential you had is now mostly unusable, and you've neglected to prepare for the future you didn't think was coming.

(I hope that doesn't read too much like one of those WINNERS DON'T DO DRUGS screens on a video game from the Reagan era.)
